Overview of SAP Fiori

Consumer user experience is
the new standard

SAP Fiori is another initiative from SAP to provide a faster and responsive
user interface.
This initiative is intended for provide the user interface that supports in all
devices like desktops, mobile phones and tabs etc. SAP Fiori contains a set of
web apps which provides that facility for easy customization. All these apps
are based on business roles like HR and sales.

User can do faster transactions

SAP Fiori Client is available for installing in iOS and Android devices

SAP Fiori provides multiple applications, both transactional and


non-transactional
in nature. These are broken down into four separate types of
applications:

Transactional

Analytical

Factsheets

SAP Smart Business

Applications that are non-transactional (Analytics, Factsheets and SAP Smart


Business) are designed for SAP systems running on top of an SAP HANA
database. Over 300 applications are available now, with more on the way.

SAP Fiori is a complex product, so if you are looking forward to gain
knowledge on Fiori, you should be familiar with various other components.

ABAP Workbench Foundations (BC400)
ABAP Objects (BC401)
HTML & CSS, Javascript (so that you understand underlying basis of UI
technologies)
