Marks presentation style is very relaxed but he is able to express his clear
knowledge of the subject matter. He uses humor to lighten up the topic of
personality disorders. The warning at the beginning of the presentation is
wonderful. We all have a few tendencies seen in each disorder, but that doesnt
mean we have the disorder. The clear warning is Dont self-diagnose!
Based on this presentation, what do you consider to be this instructors strengths?
I believe Marks use of humor and excellent real world examples really help clarify
the subject matter. Using movies and examples from Hollywood really help the
students understand the concepts. The behavioral patterns can be viewed via a
safe modality in order to see the action patterns that manifest as personality
disorders. Students can read the textbook but having the ability to see the
disorders allows for a much greater understanding of the concepts.
Based on this presentation, what do you consider to be this instructors
weaknesses?
I didnt notice any weaknesses regarding Marks presentation of the information. He
presents as an expert in the field (which he is) but would be very approachable.
The only issue with the presentation was the background noise due to the
microphone. His voice was very clear and easy to understand.
Describe the students response to the instructor.
I would find this instructor to be fun and easy to talk to. He seems like he would be
very approachable and have the ability to answer questions without making
students feel bad about the question. His communication style seems very relaxed
and fun loving.
Describe the instructors mannerisms (positive and negative) when presenting
information.

Additional comments you have for the instructor.
Mark, the presentation was well put together. The outside examples were
extremely helpful to explain each of the personality disorders. Showing how the
classifications changed from the DSM IV to V really made the information
understandable.
