15) Include family history. (i.e., if you are married, have children and/or grandchildren, what
they do for a living, where they live, etc). You can be as specific or nonspecific as you

I am 22 years old and single. I hope one day to find and marry a man who I can love, honor, and
respect for time and all eternity.
Im child 5 of 7 to Brent and Marcy Jensen with 2 bothers and 4 sisters. I was raised working on
the family farm. My grandparents (Dads parents) were my neighbors and my Aunt Brenda lived
just down the road less than a mile so I often got to play with my cousins. I am very family
focused and love mine dearly. They are my world.
I am a college graduate, business woman, and an advocate for family relations as well as
a blogger. I have always pushed myself to do well and hard work has paid off to be my measure
of personal success. Growing up our family motto was: We Work Hard; We Play Hard, but we
do it all together.
College Life:
I am a 2013 graduate of BYU-Idaho with my Associate in General Studies. I was
involved with BYU-Is Student Social Activities program during my freshman and sophomore
years where I served as both a team member and co-event manager.
After getting my Associates Degree from BYU-Idaho in April of 2013, I took the rest of
the year off from university and in September enrolled in vocational school. Many doors of
opportunity were opened to me at this time and in October 2013, I was blessed to attend my first
professional business luncheon. I graduated as an official International Event and Wedding
Professional from QC Event School in December 2013.
After graduating from QC Event School, I returned to Brigham Young University-Idaho
for my bachelors degree. I was involved in volunteer leadership with Student Social Activities
every semester through the rest of my schooling. As a junior in college, I was the manager for the
Valentines Masquerade Ball Valentines 2014, as well as co-manager for Weekly Country
Dancing Winter Semester 2014. I was also involved with the planning and carrying out (a
committee head and team leader of group 6) of the Spring Floral and Bridal show in March of
2014 on campus. Spring Semester 2014 (still as a junior in college) I was Director of Student
Social Activities. My second to last semester I volunteered through Life Skills teaching family
life education workshops for my senior practicum. For my internship, I worked at Magic Saddles
for the Innovative Therapeutic Riding Program doing equine therapy for children and adults with
disabilities; it was a rewarding experience. I graduated in July of 2015 with my Bachelors in
Marriage and Family Relations emphasis in Home and Family.
Business & Life:
I was born and raised a small town farm girl and now I am a certified International Event
and Wedding Professional for Cherry Creek Events, the business I own. I worked at the Atrium
of Hemming Village as assistant event coordinator and Signature Party and Event as Rexburg
event specialist while I was building my portfolio before placing all my focus on my business.
I volunteered two years with a non-profit organization called the Idaho Renaissance
Faire where I was nominated in late August of 2014 to the Board of Directors.
My favorite quote of all time is from BBC Robin Hood when he quotes the Koran For
everyman there is a purpose for which he sets up in his life; let yours be the doing of all good
deeds.
During my final semester at Brigham Young University-Idaho I had the privilege of
taking the Child and Family Advocacy course. What I learned in this course opened my eyes to
the wide variety of opportunities to do good in the world. I attended meetings and conferences
with important political persons and became very much interested in pursuing a political stance. I
took my professors challenge to be more active on social media for a cause and through a simple
liking of a picture on Facebook became involved talking with women from all over the globe
with various religious affiliations. This simple step led me to be introduced to the Non-Profit
Organization and political advocacy group Big Ocean Women of which I am now affiliated. I am
the current founder and President of Big Ocean Emmett, a local wave of Big Ocean Women.
Blogging:
I started blogging as a hobby and stress relief in the fall of 2014. My blog is
buildingforever.weebly.com and is a free site. I received a comment a couple months ago from a
young women who was facing hard times that said, I felt that no one knew what I was facing
and feeling. Reading your words helped me to see that I am not alone After receiving this
message, I started to take my blogging a bit more serious and tried to be there for my readers. I
hope that my words touch places within peoples hearts that sometimes other things cannot
touch.
