The young criminal would forever regret attempting to fool the Tortoise.

Senjiro had been a willing conspirator in the young mans efforts, and had been willing to
provide the koku to buy the necessary supplies for his opium ring. Senjiro had been helpful in
finding someone to buy the opium, all in exchange for just a small share of the profit. He even
gave the criminal a small scroll, saying that it represented a way to get immunity if the
magistrates caught him.
Everything had gone well, until the magistrates came in on the deal.
The buyer and the criminal had both ended up being arrested for opium smuggling. The
criminal gave the magistrates the scroll as he had been told.
That had ended him on death-row for badly-forged papers claiming to be a magistrate
undercover.
The criminal protested, saying that hed received the paper and the opium from Kasuga
Senjiro, to which the magistrate slapped him.
Senjiro is not the most honorable samurai, but he isnt a forger OR an opium dealer.
Hes just a clan magistrate. In fact, he claims that a robber matching your customers description
stole his money, and that a blank form indicating an undercover magistrate was stolen by
someone like you.
