CRAFTS FINAL PROJECT

CALAVERA SKULL

This project was made by cutting cardboard into the shape of a

skull and making a face using colored pastels
I liked this project because it was easy to make
And I liked how colorful the pastels made the skulls
We made this project to celebrate the Day of the Dead
along with the papel cortado

COLLAGE

This project was made by gluing random magazine pictures

together to create a collage
This project was my favorite project of the year and it was
really fun to make
I turned my collage into a multicolored
Flower by gathering different colored
Magazine paper and cutting out the leaves
and the stem to resemble a flower

TIN FOIL ART

This project was made from tin foil by indenting and pushing out a
design using pencils and tools
I made my project into a fish by pushing in the design with a pencil
and then coloring over everything with sharpie
I liked this project, but it was
Challenging to dent the foil using a pencil

HUICHOL YARN PAINTING

This project was lots of work to make,
But it turned out really nice
We made them by gluing strands of colored string
together on cardboard And Forming a
Picture
I made a sun and I really liked how my project
turned out

NOT A BOTTLE

We used empty glass wine bottles for this project and transformed them
into something other than a bottle
This project was really fun to make because we could do anything we waned
with the bottle and we had different options of painting or using mosaic tiles
I painted mine into a simple snow globe with a snowman on
It with acrylic paint

JEWELRY
Making jewelry was also one of my favorite projects because it was
so different then the other projects we had done
We mad friendship bracelets with string and used different
methods of tying them, we made beaded bracelets with wire and
beads, and wooden bracelets with tongue depressor and covered
them in fancy paper or acrylic paint to give them a design

PAPEL CORTADO

This was a very simple and easy project to make

We folded pieces of tissue paper in half then used an exacto knife
to cut shapes into it, creating a symmetrical design
We did this project, along with the candy skulls, for the Day of the
Dead celebration in Mexico and they are both examples of Mexican
folk art

STAIN GLASS WINDOW

This was a really fun project to do because we got to work with
partners and it was something I had never done before
We painted the glass windows in the cafeteria and created a
stained-glass window from tracing a sketch we drew by hand
It was difficult to paint, but the end results were all really well
done and I was happy with how Nicoles and I project turned out

PAPER CROSS
This project was lots of tedious work and very hard to create
we used strips of magazines and rolled them into circles then hot
glued all the rolls together and created a piece of art
I chose to create a cross with the paper rolls and outlined all the
rolls with strips of magazines to keep it held together better
Even though it was challenging, I was happy with the
Final result

SNOWFLAKES
The snowflakes were a fun, simple project to do and we had two
different designs to choose from
I choose the design that used 6 sheets of paper and was bigger
We made the snowflakes by folding 6 sheets of paper into thirds
then cutting slits into the paper and stapling the slits together to
create flakes, then we stapled all 6 pieces together to create the
finished snowflake

TOILET PAPER ROLLS

This was the first project that we did and we

had to create something out of a roll of toilet
paper and my group used an exacto knife to
cut leaves and stems out of a roll and stapled
them together to create flowers, then we used
another roll for the pot and stapled the flowers
inside it
This was a pretty easy project but I liked it
because it was simple and I was happy with
the way out groups turned out

UGLY DOLLS
This was one of my favorite projects because I had never done
sewing before
We sewed pieces of fabric together and filled the inside with
stuffing and then cut of pieces of fabric and sewed them on to the
front of the doll give it a face
I thought this was a fun because it was different than
an average art project

WEAVING BRANCH

This project was made by weaving string in and out of a

u- shaped branch using the warp and weft method
I didn't really like this project because my branch broke
several times and it was a lot of work to weave the
entire branch
