XI. Reflection
After this semester, I learned so many things in this class. Sometimes this class gave
us some pressures and made us feel stressful but undoubtedly, this class made us grow
up and let us be more competitive. Because we try to get things done in a perfect way,
although it still not well enough, we learned how to be careful.
In the past, I had a very poor grammar, and I couldnt distinguish any tenses which
are right in the sentence. Although I studied for TOEIC and tried to read some
grammar books, those words still not mine. It made me feel really afraid because I
think I dont really have that ability can study in Level 6. I probably cannot keep up
with everybody. However, this class saved me, teacher Vicky saved me. Now,
sometimes I still cant use the right tenses, but at least, I start to notice it and try to
think about it.
Perhaps no one will feel my progress because it really a basic thing to them, but I
know that I really changed a lot of misconceptions and have more understanding of
English. I am really grateful to teacher Vicky and its really lucky to meet such a
good teacher. If this time I didnt meet you, maybe I would never know that I can
achieve many things and my learning attitude can be more positive. I will continue to
stay in my comfort zone, although I know that I have a poor grammar but I cant find a
way to improve it or just because I dont want to make an effort.
I think this class is not only teaching us about English but also told us that do not do
things with the mentality of luck, try your best to complete it then you will find that
you got loads out of it. I have a friend who has an internship in Singapore, she said,
After I came to Singapore, I finally realized how uncompetitive we are. Its just like
what I realized in this class. I think its really important to see our own shortcomings
because it makes us work hard to be a better one.
All in all, the most things I want to say is thank you and love you, teacher Vicky. In
the end of this semester I want to share a sentence with you, And now these three
remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.-1 Corinthians 13:13
Because I felt that I was loved in these days from all you pay for us, all you tried to
give us. Have a nice vacation! Also hope I have a nice final-exam!
Bests,
Emma
