4.

Platform / Area nomenclature Guidelines:


a. New platform or area which is similar to existing facilities should carry the same
existing facility name by adding sequence number such as CSP, CSP-1 or NRP,
NRP-1.
b. New facilities with new operation concept should carry an abbreviated name
agreed between project team and ESVT i.e. SARB, UL, GIF, GPF and TA etc
c. Area number for all new facilities will be assigned by Engineering Record officer.

AVEVA PDMS
PDMS project folders, files, databases including any foreign project data, templates, reports
and all relevant document/ information associated with the project shall be submitted to
ADMA-OPCO.
The PDMS environment shall be set-up in accordance with this document.

5.1

Project Set-up
PDMS System administration of the Project set up shall be documented in detail and
submitted for ADMA-OPCO approval prior to modeling.
This shall include all team names, user names & passwords, administration
passwords, MDB/ database names/ numbers with description, design hierarchy &
naming convention with description.
All UDAs required for the project shall be documented and submitted for ADMAOPCO approval.

5.2

Model Content
The individual areas of the detailed 3D model shall be the responsibility of the
respective engineering/design disciplines. Each discipline shall define and document
the items that are to be modeled in PDMS in their respective areas.
Any exclusion to the model content is subject to written approval by ADMA-OPCO.
The following shall be modelled as a minimum.

Joints complete with details.
Floor, grating, plating and walls including penetration & sleeves and
fireproofing.

plates.

Insulation, jacket as per specification.
Vent, drain, instrument tapping/ connection, utility station.
Pipe supports.
Reserved volume for operation/ maintenance, removal and handling/
retrieving tools.
Conductors/ risers.
Bolt removal envelop to ensure no captive bolts and space for torqueing/
tensioning equipment.
All future piping (Modelled in separate Zone).

Electrical and Instrumentation:


All equipment e.g. generator, transformer, switchgear, MCC, LCS
Accessories for valve actuators.
Cable trays/ ladders with support, J-Tube.

5.3

Database and Naming


The project shall be split into Multiple Databases (MDBs) based on Area for Das
Island and Platform for Offshore. Area number shall be MDB Name. e.g.:

Each discipline shall be allocated databases based on the PDMS activity.


Databases numbers shall be obtained from ADMA-OPCO. Database file number shall
be same as database number. Sequential numbers shall be used without skipping except
for temporary DBs (which are to be deleted upon as built) which shall use end of the
range, to maintain continuity of the numbers.
Naming format of all administrative elements and databases with description to have
a suitable convention.
Details of the naming convention and coding explanations used to be submitted to
ADMA-OPCO for approval.
An example database name and description is given below for information only:

Catalogues and Specifications Naming


All items shall be named in accordance with the catalogues component naming convention as
supplied with PDMS. There shall be project specific catalogue databases for components
and/or data items that are created for the project.
Catalogues and Specifications (e.g. Piping, Structural, etc.) shall be developed to ADMAOPCO standards and any deviations are to be noted and submitted to ADMA-OPCO for
approval.

PDMS Design Hierarchy


PDMS Design Sites and Zones shall be named (as illustrated below) in a manner such that
they can be easily identified and organised against plant area and discipline. Sites and Zones
shall have their description and purpose attributes set to reflect their intended use. Naming
format with description shall be submitted for ADMA-OPCO approval.

Site Naming
Sites shall be created and named in line with the respective DB for all disciplines with
the Datum Point and Purpose set for it. Site naming shall be in the following format:

the project deliverable.
Support numbering shall comply with ADMA-OPCO numbering procedure.

5.9

Draft Drawings Rules, Libraries, etc


All 2D Drawing Production Administration elements, e.g. Rules, Libraries,
Templates, etc. shall be named and documented accordingly and submitted to
ADMA-OPCO for approval.

5.10

Draft Drawing Databases Structure


Drawing databases shall be created in a structured manner to reflect the design areas
and disciplines, consideration given to maximize drawing production.
Drawings and Sheets shall be named/ numbered in accordance with ADMA-OPCO
document/ drawing numbering procedure.
All dimensioning & annotation shall be done in draft and shall be intelligent. The
extent of annotation and quality of the drawing shall be as specified in CP-00 Part-3.
Modifying/ editing drawings outside PDMS shall not be accepted.
Zone based layers shall be created and all items within the zone shall be placed in the
same layer.
The 2D drawing representation within PDMS shall adhere to ADMA-OPCO
standards and be subject to ADMA-OPCO approval.
All drawings shall be fully updated to reflect the as-built 3D plant model upon
completion of the project and prior to hand over.
DWG and DXF format copy of all 2D project drawings produced within PDMS to be
provided to ADMA-OPCO.

Piping Isometric Production and Control


Only complete lines with acceptable clash and data consistency to be submitted for isometric
generation.
Isometric option file(s) shall be created per MDB (Platform/ Plant/ Area) and shall be
configured to reflect ADMA-OPCO standards.
All process information/ parameters, test, heat treatment & painting requirement,
insulation/tracing type & thickness, support location/ type with tag, reference to piping GA &
P&ID, stress analysis requirement/ reference and detailing where required shall be provided
in isometric along with BOM.
Isometric drawing number shall reflect tag given in the design hierarchy which is the line tag
as specified in `CP-00 Part-2 process and utility line tagging format.

Please Note: Annotation/ editing of Isometrics outside of PDMS is not permitted unless

Reports
All reports and PDMS report templates generated for and used on the project shall be
submitted to ADMA-OPCO. Reports shall be in MS Excel format.

5.14

Data Consistency Checking (Reports)


A final report showing all Pipes to be free of inconsistent data shall be delivered upon project
completion.
A final report showing all Structural items logically connected shall be delivered upon
project completion.

5.15

Clash Checking (Reports)


A final report showing clash free design and approved clashes shall be delivered upon project
completion.

5.16

Database Integrity (Dice Checking Report)


A final report showing all databases clean of errors shall be delivered upon completion of the
project.

5.17

Miscellaneous
All PDMS database sessions shall be merged prior to submission.

5.18

Project Data
ADMA-OPCO may at any time request complete PDMS Project Data and/ or access to
PDMS Project Data during Project execution.

5.19

Project Review
For periodic/ milestone and as-built review of the 3D PDMS model, latest colour review
model with status file of the 3D PDMS model shall be provided.
Review model (RVM & RVS) shall be made available to ADMA prior to periodic/ milestone
reviews.
Colours specified in the table shall be used for review model.

Aveva P&ID
The As-built AVEVA P&ID drawings along with all related database and project files shall
be submitted to ADMA-OPCO upon project completion
P&ID representation shall be in accordance with ADMA-OPCO standards.
Symbols created for the project shall have a suitable naming convention and shall be
submitted to ADMA for approval.
Information detailing layer, line type, text font/ height, colour etc... for P&ID and PFD shall
be submitted to ADMA for approval.
