that plans for upgrading the center are already in place. He assures that
by 2016, works for the 2nd floor of the center will start.
Los Baos Mayor Ceasar Perez also noted that the tourism center
brings information closer to the visitors.
Many locals are not yet familiar with the center. But those interviewed support its aim of boosting the towns tourism. A Los Baos
resident, Toti Menorca said that, You have to know more about Los Baos. Hindi lang UP, hindi lang Makiling, but other facets of [the town]...
Promote certain aspects where our town is strong. I think this will boost
tourism in Los Baos.
With the theme Pagkilala sa Kasaysayan, Pagpupugay sa Kasalukuyan, Pagtanaw sa Kinabukasan, Los Baos held its
annual foundation anniversary program to
commemorate the towns quadricentennial
last September 17.
Looking back and moving forward

kumbaga, bonding.
mula sa Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

Community service through peace-keeping

he was awarded as an outstanding police officer. After 32
years of being in service, he still has no intentions of resigning. He also said that awards like these serve as an inspiration to continue community service.
Leviste, the head of the Municipal Accounting Department, is equally happy. Masaya ako dahil natanggap ko
ang award na ito. Sobrang fulfilling, she said. She dreams
of the department being more of the 20th century; having
computerized accounting system to further speed up processes in the office.
A reunion of greats
