Atlanta, Georgia in Bartow County and has a
population of 101,000. Major industries include
Anheuser Busch, Shaw Industries, and Georgia
Power.

Georgia Milestones (previously EOCT) are


required in: US History, Economics, 9th
Literature, American Literature, Physical
Science, Biology, Coordinate Algebra, and
Analytic Geometry. Georgia Milestones
count as 20% of the students final grade.

Traditional Schedule / Grading


Honor Graduates must complete at least two
Advanced Placement courses and earn a
minimum academic average of 90.

Cartersville High school operates on a


traditional schedule. Students take seven 50
minute classes. GPA is calculated on a
numerical scale as follows:

Honor Graduates with Distinction must


complete at least four Advanced Placement
courses and earn a minimum academic average of
90. Valedictorian and Salutatorian will have the
highest academic averages of the Honor
Graduates with Distinction.

F = 69 and below
