It’s right here in black and white. State Representative
Lida Harkins took $2,700 in campaign contributions
from three different convicted House Speakers.
And what’s worse, Harkins kept the
campaign money even after they were
forced to resign, indicted and convicted.
Check the facts.

Harkins took $900 in campaign cash

and services from disgraced former Speaker Thomas Finneran.
And accepted two contributions after he was forced to resign. (1)
Harkins kept the $400 she took from Speaker Sal DiMasi after
he was indicted for conspiracy to defraud the federal government,
extortion, and wire fraud. (2)
Harkins pocketed $1,400 in contributions from
Speaker-turned-lobbyist Charles Flaherty after he plead guilty
to federal income tax evasion. (3)
Finneran and DiMasi rewarded Harkins with leadership
posts and increased pay. Then when they were under a cloud of
corruption Harkins still defended them until they were forced to resign. (4)
