During the Month of October 2009, ATF agents in Bridgeport, CT learned of thefts of firearms by an
employee working at American Precision Manufacturing, who with accomplices orchestrated a previous
theft from the facility. The guns were then transported to Bridgeport, CT for sale on the streets. It was
decided that the best course of action would be to set up a burglary sting which had to be set up quickiy
after leaming that another burglary was imminent. The New Haven Field Office reached out to your
department for assistance and leamed that your department was prepared to offer any and a1l resources,
including the aforementioned offi cers.

Because of your personnel's selflessness, professionalism arid assistance, to include tactical support, the
burglary sting operation and investigation were a success.
