MEP Below ground service details

Following services are installed below the grade slab
1. Soil Pipes from WC - Clean outs are provided at the end of main line for easy
maintenance in future due to any blockage.
2. Wash Basin drains, Shower Drains, Kitchen sink drain, AC Drains are
connected through Floor traps to main Waste line - Clean outs are provided at
the end of main line for easy maintenance in future due to blockage.
3. No pressurized pipe lines are installed below the grade slab - Water main line
from Booster pump rises to Roof and then distributed at the Roof to Toilets &
Kitchen through the O.T.S and Wall drops.
4. Electrical / Telephone systems are provide with Cables ducts/ conduits for
Cables installation.

Proposed method for rectification of incase of any damages to Drainage pipes below
the grade slab which is highly unlikely to happen
1. Check for the symptoms of slow drain or blockage.
2. Identify the possible area of problem by conducting the gravity test and
visual inspections. (Alternatively Drain line inspection camera shall be used
to investigate the problem)
3. Mark the area on the slab in coordination with Stirrup locations (as indicated
on the As-built Coordination drawing of Structural layout and Below ground
drainage layout)
4. Carefully cut the slab, remove the soil over the pipe and rectify the damages.
5. Once rectified, conduct the gravity test to ensure the integrity of the system.
6. Backfill the excavated soil, compact the area manually and reinstate the
concrete and floor tiles.
