The magazine was published in 1960 in 21

languages and 25 national editions.
 21 languages
In the English edition of 1960 in addition to
the two versions in English (Canadian and
British editions) mentioned the translation
of the magazine to the Russian, Chinese,
Dutch, French, Spanish, German, Italian,
Swedish, Czech, Polish, Romanian,
Bulgarian, Hungarian, Japanese,
Mongolian, Korean, Albanian, Arabic,
Portuguese and Vietnamese languages.
 25 editions
The duplicity of the
English editions (London
and Toronto) and German
(Prague and Berlin), next
to the three editions in
Spanish (Prague, Buenos
Aires and Bogota)
complete the 25
simultaneous national
editions.
To the Right: Logo printed on postal
envelopes in which subscribers in the German
Democratic Republic received the monthly
magazine.

13 to 16 April 1960
the first meeting
of the Editorial
Board of the
magazine with
the participation
of
representatives
of 36 communist
and workers'
parties was held
in Prague.

Changes in 1960
The number of September
/ October 1960 of the
Indonesian magazine
<Mimbar Komunis>, is its
last appearance.

In 1960 the Hungarian

edition changed its name
to <Bke s
Szocializmus> (Peace
and Socialism),
eliminating the word
"problems" (Krdsei).
Meeting of Moscow in 1960
In November 1960 a
conference of
communist and
workers' parties
attended by
delegates from 81
parties takes place in
Moscow. Yugoslav
communists are not
present.

 At that time was in the world a total of 87 officially recognized communist
and workers parties (In the speech of FR Kozlov during the anniversary of
the October Revolution and published in the newspaper Pravda of
November 7, 1960, noted that the 87 communist parties of the world gather
a total of more than 35,000,000 militants)
 On the occasion of
the Conference, the
World Marxist
Review-Problems of
Peace and
Socialism he
published a
supplement to the
December 1960
issue with the
documents
approved at the
meeting of the 81
parties.
Supplement of the Netherlands edition.
 One way to reach new
readers was the publication of
small pamphlets what
collected some of the most
outstanding articles published
in the magazine.

At first this work was carried

out on the initiative of a few
parties, after be officially
instituted by the WMR HQ that
compiled the articles
published on the same subject
in a book distributed from
Prague, so was born the
editorial named Peace and
Socialism International
Publishers

From the May 1960 issue of the Chinese edition, and remains Portuguese from
so until at least September 1961, the ratio of issues that appear Brazil, Hungarian,
in the image of its cover is changed, reducing the number of 25- Swedish, French,
23, disappearing the edition in Arabic language (due to its Spanish from
irregularity) and with only a German edition (although they Czechoslovakia,
continue to coexist the two published in Berlin and Prague). Dutch and
Visible in the picture is the first evolution in the design of some Vietnamese
of the covers.
 Growth in 1961
As a result of the agreements reached at the meeting of
the Editorial Board of the journal and the conference of
parties in Moscow, 1961 was a real expansive
deployment of international publication, reaching 24
languages and 29 editions .

Since January 1961 is published in Mexico (Revista

Internacional <International Review>) and since June in
Chile under the name Nuestra poca <Our Time>.

In 1961 begins the publication of the Danish edition

under the name <Verden Rundt> (Worldwide),
Norwegian <Teori og Informasjon> (Theory and
Information) and the Cypriot Greek edition <Dietnis
Politiki Epiteorisi> (Problems of International Politics).

 In the WMR back covers
On the cover of issue 12 of the German edition 1961 the following editions
of the magazine are related: Albanian, Bulgarian, Chinese, German from
Leipzig, Vienna and Zurich, English from London and Toronto, French from
Paris, Brussels and Geneva, Greek from Nicosia, Dutch, Italian, Japanese,
Korean, Mongolian, Polish, Romanian, Russian from Prague, Swedish,
Spanish from Prague and Bogota, Czech, Hungarian and Vietnamese.

Only shows novelty of the incorporation of the Cyprus edition in Greek

language, and the absences of Argentinean and Mexican (in Spanish),
Brazilian (in Portuguese), Danish, and Norwegian editions.

Collaborations with theoretical journals, which are often summary

translations of articles for international publication, such as that made in
Icelandic, are not included because currently not considered full editions of
"Problems of Peace and Socialism".

However in the English editions of 1961 and 1962 only mentioned the
issues in the 19 foundational languages, having disappeared the reference
to the editions in Arabic, Portuguese and Greek.

In 1962 they begin to be felt the effects of the differences
between Soviet and Chinese communists. So the
Albanian edition was canceled in February 1962 and the
Chinese translation in December of the same year.

By contrast, 1962 is the year of the beginning of the

collaboration between the international magazine and
the theoretical organs of the Finnish <Kommunisti>
(Communists) and Icelandic communists <Rttur>
(Justice) which thereafter will include a summary of the
World Marxist Review in its pages.

As we can see the Albanian issue no longer appears and if

the Brazilian Portuguese. List missing from the Arab and
the new editions in Danish, Norwegian, Icelandic and
Finnish as well as the editions in Spanish language from
Argentina, Mexico, Chile and Costa Rica.
The Information Bulletin
The first issue of the
Information Bulletin
appears in May 1963
as a supplement to
the magazine, the IB
includes documents,
articles and
speeches of the
Communist and
Workers Parties, and
is published every
two weeks in
Spanish, French,
German and English.
 The distribution of the
books published by the
Publishing Peace and
Socialism followed the
same pattern as that for the
magazine.

The book "The structure of

the working class in
capitalist countries"
(Materials of the exchange
of views organized by
Problems of Peace and
Socialism in 1960-1961), is
a case in point, the version
in Spanish appeared in
Prague in 1963 and
reappeared in Buenos
Aires printed by Editorial
Anteo in 1964.

The Korean edition ceases to be published in
July 1963 .

Since 1963 the Danish edition is integrated in

the journal of the Communist Party of Denmark
<Tiden> (Time) renamed <Tiden-Verden Rundt>
(Time-Worldwide) with a periodicity of 8 issues
per year .

And the creation of the Persian edition <Masaele
