Computer Hardware Case Study

#1
You have been hired by Game Expand, a small local organization
that specializes in video game sales and distribution. You supply
video games to all of the retail outlets and rental stores in town.
After the owners purchased the head office, they have asked you
to help in developing the workstations. This entails the purchase
and set-up of all kinds of computer hardware. You will be
responsible for filing a purchase declaration form.
The organization is very small, consisting of only 12 individuals.
The organizational chart of Game Expand is as follows:

12 computers have already been purchased for the office. But the
following items are missing!

The owners are asking you to use the internet to research the
following items. Report what the items are and how many need to
be purchased in order to fulfill the network.
Using full sentences, fill out the purchase declarations, this tells
us what the items are, why theyre necessary, whether its an
input or output device and the cost.

Description
A monitor is used to display what the
user is doing on the computer. LCD
flat screens are probably the best
choice for Game Expand Inc. since
they display a high definition picture
and come in various sizes. These
would be best for viewing video
games and developing advertising
displays. They range in prices from
$125 to $330 for a monitor with built
in speakers. I recommend the LG at
$159 because it is a well known
name. We will need to purchase 12
monitors
A mouse is a pointing device that
detects two-dimensional motion
relative to a surface. This motion is
typically translated into the motion of
a pointer on a display
