A. Preparation
1. Greetings
2. Check the cleanliness/ orderliness of the classroom
3. Check the students attendance
B. Presentation
Motivation: We are going to sing Matter Song.
Matter Song
Matter, matter occupy space
It has volume it has mass
There are 3 phases
Solid, liquid and the gas

1. Present the word Matter. After that ask them if they are familiar to that
word. When its done, Its time to I show the exactly meaning of Matter.
Matter is anything that occupies space and has mass.
2. Enumerate and explain the Three Phases of Matter which is Solid, Liquid
and Gas.
Three Phases of Matter
Solid. A solid has a definite shape and volume.
Cant be compressed easily.
Do not flow easily.
Examples of solids include guitar, pencil, apple, bicycle and hat.
Liquid. A liquid has a definite volume, but takes the shape of its container.
Cant be compressed easily.

Flow easily
Examples of liquids include water and oil.
Gas. A gas has neither a definite volume nor a definite shape.
Can be easily compressed.
Flow easily.
Examples of gases are air, oxygen, and helium.
3. I will give some example of the Three Phases of Matter and they also give
their example.
C. Evaluation
Activity
Each students are going to group their selves into three.
They will identify the pictures if it is Solid, Liquid and Gas.
IV. Assignment
1. Answer the activity in our book on page 131-132.
2. Read and Study our next lesson on page 134.
