MohrCircleconstructionsforfinitestrainaren'tusedverymuchtocalculatedimensionsorshearsinceit's
usuallyjustaseasy,andmoreclear,toworkdirectlyfromtheellipse.Wheretheyaremostfrequentlyused
issituationswheredeformationinseveraldirectionsisknown,butnottheprincipalaxesofthestrain
ellipse.ThenMohrCirclesareaneffectivewayoffindingmaximumandminimumdeformationandtheir
directions.
