3. Students learn to use an audio recorder to record a partner
reading his/her story

1. Students are able to write a story of their own with the story

(Criteria/Look Fors) 2. Students can identify the plot of the story by discussing it in
the group.
3. Students can follow directions with using the audio recorders
to record their partner.

Materials 1. The Three little Pigs (Original story)


2. The three little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig retold by Eugene
Trivizas
3. Audio recorders for students to record partner reading and
vice versa

Time
(Total and Specific) Approximately 30 minutes each day
Two Part Lesson, Two days to accomplish full lesson,
Instructional
Procedures Introduction:
“Today we will be creating our own stories of The Three Little Pigs.
Introduction How many of you had heard or read this story? Good.”

Developed Lesson:
1. Present the original story and read it.
2. Ask students to listen carefully to the second story because
Developing the Lesson they will be discussing the characters, setting, and plot of

Participation, 3. Then present and read the retold version of the story.
Practice 4. Discuss the story and determine who are the characters,
where is the setting, and the plot of the story.

“Now we will be writing our own story of The Three Little


Pigs. You will fill in the story map and write your own story.”
Closure
Closure:
“You will take the story with you and finish it up before
Wednesday. It has to be typed and printed. Use the
resources that are at school or at home to finish this story.
We will begin from here on Wednesday. Whoever doesn’t
have their story may not participate in Wednesday activity
which is voice recording your story.”

Anyone who needs help will be helped according to their needs
