ISSUE OF: Trans-national crimes and its correlation to the international committee.

Position paper submitter by the delegation of Syria,

Trans-national crimes are crimes that go beyond one countrys borders such as human
trafficking, drug trafficking, migrant smuggling etc. and cause a huge threat to international
prosperity and security. The delegation of Syria is well aware that these incidences would be
checked more by the United Nations and should be stopped immediately.

Trans-national crimes are mostly caused by the enormous globalization that cannot be
avoided with the fast growing communication technologies and the worlds economy depending
on globalization. Trans-national crimes must have a solution by the United Nations immediately.
Trans-national crimes are usually caused by multiple countries not taking enough action against
the issue and criminals speed crime internationally.

The delegation of Syria is aware of the fact that most of the trans-national crimes are actually
ignored by the corruptive governments and that the United Nations should take actions
providing transparency in governments would likely make the issue much smaller than it is
today. The United Nations can implement laws regarding transparency or even suit cases in the
International Court of Justice against corrupt governments to create transparency in
governments which lack. Corrupt governments trade drugs and stolen oil internationally to
create profit while severely damaging the international community.

Human trafficking and migrant smuggling happen as there are still conflicts around the globe
and many people actually try to escape the war. The United Nations Peace Keeping Forces
must work harder to create international peace and for the existing conflicts western countries
should divide the refugees equally so that no refugee will be stateless yet no country will be
over-flown with refugees whove escaped the war. If the states would be more accepting
towards refugees they wouldnt need human trafficking which is mostly for the refugees.

In conclusion the delegation of Syria acknowledges that there should be more checks in
borders and the United Nations should provide transparency for all the countries. Syria is
against any criminal activity.
