MICHAEL and JARDEL part ways, when MICHAEL sees that JARDEL has

CUT TO:
EXT. PAVEMENT EVENING
JARDEL is walking on his way home.

(VOICEOVER)
I never wanted to do it in the first place. I mean, I know hes my
friend, but I just couldnt. What does he expect me to do, this
could mess up my whole life, it doesnt matter to him. He doesnt go
to school, I do. I want to get A-Levels, I want to go to uni. Ive
got dreams. I dont want to be another statistic or black stereotype
on the news. Times have changed, I dont have to be out here
stabbing or robbing people. I can just get my head down and do my
work. Im not doing anything for him!
CUT TO:
MICHAEL gets hurt and is laying on the floor.

(VOICEOVER)
I didnt know he would get hurt. I swear I didnt. I thought he went
home, he told me he would go home! Now look! Hes dead. He didnt
have to stay there, he could have went home. Now hes just like the
rest of them, a statistic, a lost cause. That was my brother but I
cannot afford to life like that, I will not end up like him Its
time to wake up.
