    PineLake.Myolderbrother,KevinForte,graduatedfiveyearsagofromPineLakeaspartofthe
    secondgraduatingclass.Thisyearsclassof2016isabout150students,whichdwarvesthe
    secondclassofamere28andservesasaclearindicatorofPineLakesdevelopmentasaschool.
    JustasPineLakehasgrown,Ihaveaswell.AnexampleofthisgrowthIseeinmyselfisrelated
    totennis,asportthatIamtrulypassionateabout,andhowIwasabletomoveupfromsimply
    playingontheteamtobeingateamcaptainduringthe20142015season.Acceptingthe
    challengeofbecomingaleaderofPineLakesamazingBoysVarsityTennisTeamisoneofmy
    proudestmomentsinhighschoolandanexperienceIwillrememberfortherestofmylife.
    AsformyPrideProject,IhavechosentostudyArchitectureasacareerpathinhopesto
    learnmoreaboutthetopicandexploreitsmanydiversebranches.MygoalforthePrideProject
    isnotonlytofinishontimeandpasswithflyingcolors,butalsotofurtherdevelopmy
    knowledgeofthesubjectandconfirm(ordisprove)myinterestinpursuingitlaterinlife.Ihave
    obviouslyalreadyconductedmyownresearchaboutthetopicoverthecourseofwritingmy
    PridePaperlastyear,andonethingthatpiquedmyinterestwastheamountoftimeandeffort
    thatanarchitectputsintoeachdesign.Whetheritbeasystemofcitystreets,anofficebuilding,
    oradogparkinthecity,anincredibleamountofthoughtgoesintomakingthestructureas
    efficientandascheapaspossiblewhilemaintaininghighbuildquality.Readingaboutthis
    processinparticularwasamajorfactorinwhyIchosetheproductthatIamproposingbelow.
    InordertoproperlydisplaythecareerpathofarchitecturetothejudgesofmyPride
    Presentation,Ihavechosentobuildascalemodelofadreamhomeasmyproduct.Iintendto
    planforandfurtherexpandupontheideawithmymentorbycreatingblueprintsofthedesign,
    thenIwillbringthoseblueprintsintoactionwiththehelpofMr.Ivey,the3DDesignteacher
    thatIhadlastyear.SimilartoaprojectthatIdidinthatclassbutonalargerscale,Iintendtouse

    hardfoam,balsawoods,andothersimilarmaterialstocreateascalemodelofapproximately3
    feetby3feetinsize.Thejudgesofmypresentationwillseeeachversionofmyblueprintsas
    theyprogressandchange,picturesofmyselfwithmymentoraswellaswithMr.Ivey,andthe
    finalstructure.Itismyhopethatthisideaforaproductwillallowmetoexplorearchitecture
    andtheprocessofcreatingastructureentirelyfromstarttofinish,justasapracticingarchitect
    woulddobutonasmallerscale.InthisletterIamseekingapprovalofthisideasothatImay
    moveonwiththeprocessandbeginworkwithmymentor.
