Play Review Extra Credit

Due on or by Wednesday, February 10th, on paper AND Turnitin.com* for Anything Goes
(paper copy and Turnitin.com)

This is worth an extra quiz grade.

Performances: January 28th-30th, Thurs.-Sat. 7:30 pm, and 2:30pm on Sat.
and February 4-6th, Thurs.-Sat. 7:30pm and 2:30pm on Sat.
Tickets are available online, or can be purchased at the schools box office.
Students with a school id receive a discount. If you sign up to work house crew, your admission
is free. Space for house crew is limited, and the sign-up sheet is outside the choir room.

All the following criteria must be met to earn the extra credit. No partial credit will be
awarded. The requirements are the same for students who are spectators or
actors/crew in the play.
1. 500 word review of the musical Anything Goes. Extra credit will be awarded to only
one play review this semester (so if you cant make it to this one, you may go to another
Playhouse production later in the semester).
Use the format and tips on how to write a play review on the following link:
http://writing.wisc.edu/Handbook/PlayReview.html. Content of the review needs to be
specific to Stratfords rendition of the play.
2. *Paper copy must be turned in by Wednesday, February 10th , and the same
review needs to be uploaded on Turnitin.com with a less than 5% originality score.
There will be a category for this in your class section of Turnitin.com.
3. An artifact from the play should accompany the paper copy. Acceptable artifacts
include ticket stub, a picture of you with one of the actors in costume in the auditorium
(printed out), or, less preferable due to recycling purposes, a program.
Extra credit shows your extra effort and is an all or nothing assignment. I shall not
remind you to turn in a paper copy, artifact, or upload the review onto Turnitin.com. This
is an optional assignment that benefits students, so no excuses or exceptions will apply
toward credit. The extra quiz grade will be applied to the fourth six weeks only.
* Must be turned in to the Extra Credit class on Turnitin to receive credit (NOT ON
