Started a new Industrial Design company in response to repeated requests from outside
companies to provide creative work as well as escalating demands for consulting expertise.
Meet with clients to discuss new product needs including novel designs, provide practical
engineering advice, and drive evolution of ideas into lines of unique product offerings.
Ensure client needs are met by translating concepts into tangible product designs.
Stadium HD: Helped client launch successful Kickstarter campaign that led to full
merchandise production by translating original client concept based on integrating two
client-supplied pictures of headphones and hubcap into working headphone prototype;
developed / redefined design and created mockups based on culture and meaning to meet
customer expectations for new product look and feel.
Blount International: Won stop the presses moment with company president during
meeting providing options for potential chainsaw colors; used "theres one more thing"
approach to unveil entire new chainsaw redesign that created jaw-dropping moment for
executives; proposed modifications led to entire redesign being built.

Lakeshore Learning Materials: Recruited into working on multiple projects for client including
client companys biggest venture to date which involved large-scale construction set;
contributed design and engineering work to product which has become one of the companys
best-selling products out of thousands of available items.
Stella Lighting: Retained as lead product designer; developed companys second product
(SKY lamp) which sold out within days of initial release.

INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

Creative Director

2014-2015

Drive design, engineering, and fabrication of new products, retail fixtures, and environmental
design. Acted as project manager working directly with clients to develop ideas, generate
drawings, budget for manufacturing expenses, manage crews, and oversee the construction
of new designs where brand identity is crucial.
Overcame significant project obstacles posed by clients arriving with extremely short
timelines and high expectations; set company apart from competitors by working with
colleagues as team supporting each other through collaborative project management
approaches.
Perform as conduit and filter for Nike projects based on first-hand knowledge of client
preferences. Projects included: Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, University of Texas,
Academy Sports, Nike Golf, Jordan XX9 shoe launch, and The Opening.
Solved client engineering problems by conducting research and development to create
design solution that suited global customers goals for worldwide retail distribution.

STEELAB

Industrial Designer/Project Manager

2011 - 2014

Responsibilities included the design and management of high end retail displays and retail
environments. Worked directly with clients to assure budgets and timelines, and designed
CAD files, 3D renderings, and shop drawings to manage the construction of these
elements. Worked with vendors to schedule timelines and quality assurance.

Instrumental in cementing Nike as a client, increasing retail design projects from 20 to


110 jobs within 1 year. First hand retail design projects included: Nordstrom, Macys, Dicks
Sporting Goods, Academy Sports, University of Texas, Sears, Nike Yardline, the 2012
Olympic Games, LA Dodgers, and NY Yankees.
Facilitated landing of $23 million major convenience store chain account by enabling
customer to resume construction of retail coffee kiosks following previous supplier
dropping project; reverse-engineered design to develop fresh blueprints delivered to new
contractor who completed project.

ELEEK, INC

Industrial Designer

2007-2009

Designed and developed custom lighting fixtures and decorative housewares. Interfaced
between vendors, project managers, and in-house artisans as key production liaison. Created
CAD drawings and architectural blueprints for client contracts, manufacturing processes, and
final production.
Promoted into larger-scale projects in recognition for ability to develop design solutions
that met customer expectations.
Translated casino client account design concept literally presented on cocktail napkin into
lighting fixture that easily integrated into facilitys design environment.
Designed, developed, and produced interior and exterior lighting fixtures that were
consistent with shopping center theme and generated workarounds for unique features that
met client expectations.
