Hello,
My name is Jonathan. I am 12 years old and I like to write stories. Someday I would like to
be known as one of the greatest writers ever. The only problem is, I have Waardenburg
Syndrome. Waardenburg Syndrome is a genetic mutation that prevents me from hearing well,
and makes my eyes two different colors, which is pretty cool. Waardenburg Syndrome
makes it especially hard for me to communicate with people. I also get looked at funny by
some people because I do not look like normal. I have a hearing doctor that comes and
helps me will my hearing. I have to do exercises every day, and sometimes these exercises
can be very hard to do. Sometimes my family goes out to eat and I have a hard time
communicating to the waiter what I want. People can also get very annoyed at me
sometimes because I cant hear them. Waardenburg Syndrome is very hard to get past, and
I hope doctors find a cure for it, but in the meantime, Im going to live my life just like anyone
else.
Thanks for reading,
Jonathan
