Tne Economic Forecast luncheon will be held on February 24th at Ashyana in Downers Grove [This 15 Chamber event will feature William Strauss, [Senior Economist with the Federal Reserve Bank. The Lisle Area Chamber Dinner Dance, Dancing with the Chamber Stars, which will be held on February 12th, at the Hilton Lisle’Neperville. This very popular community event includes a dance off between chamber member‘professional dance couples, silent ction, one hour open bar followed by a reduced price cash bar. dinner with complimentary wine, and entetsinment. This year the theme is Lisle. Then and Now, a celebration ofthe 60 Anniversary of Lisle. If you haven't made your reservations yet you still ave time. In January, Senator Michael Connelly spoke to Chamber 630 and Lisle Area Chamber Not-For-Profits with a State of the State. Also there were ‘wo fancheons with updates on local government; the fist was a State of the County presented by Chairman Dan Cronin and the second was Mavor Joseph Broda’s State of the Village address. Congratulations to Jack Kelly for receiving the Community Service Award for his volunteer efforts in Liste [attended the 21" Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Je Breakfast at the Krasa Center at Benedictine University on January 18, 2016. This event was hosted by College of DuPage and Benedictine University This was my fest year attending this event. The Preude was sung by ‘Tyisha Brown which was a beautiful way to begin a breakfast. Joseph Collins, PAD., Acting Interim President of the College of DuPage and Michael Brophy, Pa D...the new President at Benedictine University ‘welcomed the hundreds of attendees to a very heartfelt inspiring breakfast. The Keynote Speaker, Tae Honorable Annette Hubbard Judge of the Circuit Court af Cook Country truly has touched so many inherlife. She paid homage to her grandfather, mother, susts and family that helped her reach her goals in life. There was recognition of 4 scholarship recipients, wo from each school. Mayor Joseph Broda delivered his address to about 2 100 attendees and he discussed the economic development that is under way for the Village of Lisle. Among the many things he discussed. he spoke about the Marquette Companies building project at ‘Main Street and Burlington Avenue that will boring about economic development to Downtown Lisle. He also discussed how the Village of Lisle compares to other towns in State ofthe Vilage Luncheon. DuPage County. The DuPage Drones, which is the new collegiate wooden baschall bat team that will be playing at Benedictine University this summer, unveiled their new logo at the luncheon. Her primary duty at St. Joan of Arcs teaching Junior High Language ‘Aus. A Lisle Area Chamber member for 10 years, Julie has served as an ‘Ambassador for 9 years In addition to her contributions as an Ambassador, Julic has worked om the Dinner Dance committee, the 5K committee, the Golf Outing committee, and is Chair of the Scholarship committee. She enjoys being an Ambassador for the Lisle Area Chamber because she has the opportunity to work with great people throughout the village in a lines of business. Julie resides in Green Trails in Lisle with her husband Lee. She enjoys spending hr free time with her three children and seven grandchildren. In addition, Julie loves gardening, reading, and getting involved in the community. Julie also volunteers her time with VAL or Volunteers for Lisle.
