Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard:
This artifact is an ongoing document that is updated frequently. Each teacher has students on the list that did not meeting
the grade level benchmark on their third grade Iowa Assessments. The students that are highlighted in green are the
bubble kids. We are paying close attention to these students as, with extra support, we believe can become proficient. We
discuss the progress of these students at each PLC meeting. Our goal is to get at least five students that were nonproficient on the 2014-2015 Iowa Assessments to meet the proficient mark on the 2015-2016 assessments.
Reflection on artifact:
Google Docs has been a useful tool when gathering and sharing student data with the fourth grade team. All teachers on
our PLC team are able to access and contribute data. We are able to see and talk about students in all homerooms. During
our PLC time, we discuss how these students are doing and what else can be done to help the students be successful. As
a team, we will be discussing if the data we are keeping is useful or if we need to find another way to collect data on
these students.
