Who did it...

T.J Lane, is his name
he was a 17 year old at the time of the shooting
he decided to bring a 22 caliber handgun and a knife
to school with him.
Lane would occasionally have hallucinations.
When lane got to the cafeteria that morning he shot
10 rounds at a group of students.

How was the attack carried

out...
T.J

Lane was later arrested and brought

to jail
After he got caught Lane has to serve 3
life sentences as a consequence of his
actions.
He is spending his sentences in prison
and a life without parole.

Stopped...

Lane was stopped by one of the

football coach named Frank Hall at the
time of the shooting.
The coach said that he isnt a hero
since he didnt stop him from killing 3
people, but really he is he stopped
Lane from killing more people and
injuring others.

Escaped...

escaped from prison with 2 other
inmates from Allen Oakwood
Correctional Institution.
Lane and another inmate were armed

The shooting happened on February 27, 2012.
At 7:30 am Lane fired 10 shots in the cafeteria
using a .22 caliber handgun.
Lane was 17 years old at the time of the
shooting.
He shot up the Chardon High School cafeteria
in Chardon, Ohio.

Lane

said that he didnt really have a

reason to kill 3 people and injure
others.
other classmates said that Russell King
Jr. threatened to beat up Lane the day
before the shooting.
Also, Russell King Jr. was dating Lanes
ex girlfriend at the time of the shooting.

It

affected the ideas of movement

because people around the world try to
fix things
they try to find out how to make the
schools safer for children
How to stop people from taking lives
try to find out how to make sure you
are making the right decisions.

economy...
All of the friends that Lane had suffered from him
getting three life sentences.
It affected the economy because T.J Lane was really well
known by the whole community that he lived in and no
one expected that he would be the one to do the
shooting.
His parents suffered because they had to know that
their son was a murderer and that he will be spending
his whole life in prison.

Also, the families whose kids were injured during the
shooting.
The people who were at the time of the shooting since
they have to live with the memory of the shooting for
the rest of their lives.
The families that had lose their children during the
shooting of the three students. Also, the families whose
kids were injured during it..

How it affects the

politics...
It affected the principal of the school and the
staff that worked there.
It affected them since they felt that they were
doing something wrong since they didnt catch
Lane before he shot people.
It affected the coach since he didnt catch him
before he shot people because he didnt feel
like a hero since he didnt stop them earlier.

How did this affect

global connections
It shows other schools that anything can happen and
it can happen at any time so you should make sure
that your school is safe
Make sure that you run through drills like that so that
you know what do if anything like this happened to
your school.

Also you could start trying to get faster at the drills
to get in and out and you could time it because the
faster you can do the better because if you dont go
fast the intruder could go into your classroom and
start shooting.
If this does happen to your school you know what to
do if the teacher is not in the room.

It affected the culture by people today
are trying to make sure that nothing like
what happened at chardon high school.
Schools are improving security and
other things to make sure that
something like this is less likely to
happen.
