Daily reflection
The lesson went very smooth.
The students were enthusiastic
and eager to learn as I started
with the song. They sang along
and got highly engaged with
the music which showed some
words pronunciation
development.

Today the students were

quite excited for the lesson.
They really loved the part
when I gave them the paper
slip to give an advice. It kind
of made them feel
responsible and able to give
right choices.

before starting the lesson.

The lesson focused on how to

give an advice which was
teaching them about
grammar and morals. I
believe the activity that I
implemented was quite
effective because the
students were highly
engaged and they felt that
they are important. When I
told the students that there
was a mail for them they
were surprised and excited to
open it. During the activity all
the students were curious
and engaged to know whats
really inside the envelop and
try to answer it. The most
important thing that the
activity was useful and it
came with an outcome.
After doing this activity I
came up with an outcome
which is It is important for a
teacher to understand this
cause and effect in order to
understand how to organize
their classroom to create a
better learning environment
(Hannah, 2013). When the
teacher is aware of the cause
and the effect for example
meeting students interests
and having them achieve the
outcome, they learn better.

PDP reflection
In the first week I used some strategies for different goals that shown some development in my teaching. I have three goals to
achieve:
Goal 1:

Incorporate technology to enhance learning in the classroom by using the multimedia principle theory in the
classroom
I incorporate technology in the classroom and used multimedia principle theory that focused on text and audio. This was
applied as a song that the students will listen and read the text to be able to sing. I did this for every lesson and I saw a
lot of improvement in students learning as they had deeper understanding of some words and where to use them. For
instance, while singing students say I will take care of me because theres only one of me students realized the
meaning of care and why do they have to take care of their selves. In addition, students knew the rhymes in the song and
circled them. It really promoted their learning understanding.
Goal 2:
I will improve my behavior management strategies in the classroom by using the Jacob Kounin theory.
While implementing the Kounin theory of instructional management I focused on with-it-ness strategy. By doing that I
realized how important to be aware of all students in the classroom because there are many things happen during the
lesson and the teacher doesnt realize it because shes not walking around and making eye contacts. I started this earlier
and I see some differences as the student feel that someone cares about them. I became conscious that I am
implementing all Kounin strategies including ripple effect, activities were engaging and challenging which made the class
quite active.
Goal 3:
I will improve my monitoring assessment in formative and summative assessment.
In this week I tried my best to include some assessment but I wasnt able to. I just observed students during the
classroom and tried to give them feedback because I didnt know exactly where they are at in their unit. It was a little
messed up week which allowed me to think how to plan next assessments. I will apply the 1 minute thinking strategy for
the next week which will be cotton candy question that ill pose a question and students will have 1 minute to think. I will
throw a pink yarn to a girl (pretending its a cotton candy) and if she gets the right answer she got to leave earlier than the
others.
