Dear Review Committee:
I have done so much during my high school years, like gone on mission trips, volunteered in the
Mooresville Soup Kitchen and worked with the Mooresville Christian Mission. I love working with
and helping out in my church. I love to dance and I love acting in this school's film club, I even was
the co director and co leader of film club in 2014. The equality of all people and L.G.B.T.Q.N.A.F is
a very strong passion of mine I truly believe everybody should be treated equally and respected no
matter their choices.
I love science and math but I also love visual arts. So I would love to combine the two into my
product. I would love to be able to video produce the videos that colleges show their medical
students in universities. I am very passionate about the subject of cosmetic surgery and especially
cosmetic surgery on the face. I love burn unit surgery because it is so diverse and always changing.
This is something I have always been passionate about since my niece was bitten by a dog when she
was two and has gotten six surgeries since to reconstruct her face since then, now she is five years
old and her face has no visible signs of the bite. I truly believe it is the most complicated form of art
to reconstruct someone's outward personality.
My product, if you approve, will be me filming, producing, and editing a short film on a
cosmetic surgery done on a close person to me. It will be very like a 60 minutes or a documentary
on the before and after a surgery which will be close to 30 minutes in length. I will also be seeing the
schools and people around my towns, perspective and how they feel about cosmetic surgery. Due to
the longevity of the video i will be making a trailer, a 3-5 minute video for the judges to view. I
would like to inform you, the committee, of the benefits and downfalls to cosmetic surgery as well. I
will make sure to tie this into my pride paper which is on film making and adding one of my
passions to make this a dynamic piece of film. I do have all of the permission forms that have been

signed and dated by the doctor, patient, the nurse and all of the people giving opinions on this
subject; allowing me to record, document and also the permission for others to view this
information. This is something that I would like to pursue as a career later on in my life. This is a
mixture between my favourite subjects, the medical field and the visual arts. I hope this is a
sufficient product for this project.
