leave the country.
-Theodore Teddy Roosevelt Theodore Roosevelt who was the 26th President of The United States of America once said.Every immigrant who comes here should be required within five years to learn English or leave the country. I was shocked when I first read this quote because when a person leaves one country or migrates to another country he should first focus on settling in that country, finding a way to earn a living and find a house to live in but instead the 26th President of The United States of America wanted the migrants to learn English within 5 years or else leave the country. I feel Every human being has the right to speak any language he/she wants and he/she can not be removed from a country on the basis of not being able to speak English or any other language. The right to speak any language an individual wants is known as Linguistic Rights. Linguistic Right is a human right. We all know that to live a comfortable life in The United States of America we need to know how to speak and understand English but the government can not threaten and force anyone to learn it. Linguistic rights were first included as an international human right in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948.
