Read the text. Are the sentences true or false?
Come and experience the ice wall at the Indoor Ice Centre. Its amazing! In fact, it is bigger
than any other indoor ice wall in the world. There are 500 tonnes of snow in the wall, and its
between 15 and 16 metres high.
Who is it for?
The ice wall is not only for experienced climbers it has provided a first experience of iceclimbing for thousands of visitors. In fact, our climbing instructors have developed some of the
best training techniques in the world.
When can I go?
The Indoor Ice Centre offers a three-hour Introduction to Ice-climbing class every day. The
Centre is open from 9 oclock in the morning to 8 oclock at night, and there is space for 18
people on the ice wall at any time.
Why is the Indoor Ice Centre special?
It is the home of ice-climbing in Britain. Teenage ice-climber Stephanie Gould learnt to ice-climb
at our centre. She has competed in ice-climbing all over Europe and has won three junior iceclimbing titles. So, if you want to learn to be the best, come to the Indoor Ice Centre!
