My graduate studies at Loyola University Educational Technology
program have taught me many ways to incorporate technology into my
classroom to enhance student achievement. For my internship I would
like to share the recourses and knowledge that I have learned with the
staff of University Park Elementary School. I am proposing an
opportunity for teachers to attend a 10-session professional
development course. The voluntary sessions will be held twice a month
after school.
Each session will focus on a new program/technology. Teachers
will be given whole group instruction for the first half of the session
and a hands- on experience with the program/technology discussed
during the second half of each session. Each session will include a
distance education model. I will be posting how-to videos, step-bystep directions in a Word document format, and creating a
website/blog where all material can be housed. This will give staff the
opportunity to learn during their planning time, at home, and to re-visit
and relearn the material, as they see needed. The blog will help staff
members of all disciplines and grade levels share recourses and
experiences.
