FIRST COUNT:
Between on or about May 13, 2015 and on or about May 14, 2015, within the District of
Columbia, Darron Dellon Dennis Wint entered the dwelling of Savvas Savopoulos and Amy
Savopoulos, while at least one person was inside that dwelling with intent to assault and
unlawfully obtain money and property of another. (First Degree Burglary, in violation of 22
D.C. Code, Section 801(a) (2001 ed.)).
SECOND COUNT:
Between on or about May 13, 2015 and on or about May 14, 2015, within the District of
Columbia, Darron Dellon Dennis Wint, seized, confined, kidnapped, abducted, inveigled, and
carried away Savvas Savopoulos, with intent to hold and detain Savvas Savopoulos, for the
purpose of obtaining a ransom and money and property. (Kidnapping, in violation of 22 D.C.
Code, Section 2001 (2001 ed.)).
THIRD COUNT:
Between on or about May 13, 2015 and on or about May 14, 2015, within the District of
Columbia, Darron Dellon Dennis Wint, seized, confined, kidnapped, abducted, inveigled, and
carried away Amy Savopoulos, with intent to hold and detain Amy Savopoulos, for the purpose
of obtaining a ransom and money and property. (Kidnapping, in violation of 22 D.C. Code,
Section 2001 (2001 ed.)).

FOURTH COUNT:
Between on or about May 13, 2015 and on or about May 14, 2015, within the District of
Columbia, Darron Dellon Dennis Wint, seized, confined, kidnapped, abducted, inveigled, and
carried away Veralicia Figueroa, with intent to hold and detain Veralicia Figueroa, for the
purpose of obtaining a ransom and money and property. (Kidnapping, in violation of 22 D.C.
Code, Section 2001 (2001 ed.)).
FIFTH COUNT:
Between on or about May 13, 2015 and on or about May 14, 2015, within the District of
Columbia, Darron Dellon Dennis Wint, seized, confined, kidnapped, abducted, inveigled, and
carried away Philip Savopoulos, with intent to hold and detain Philip Savopoulos, for the
purpose of obtaining a ransom and money and property.

(Kidnapping (With Aggravating

Circumstances), in violation of 22 D.C. Code, Section 2001 (2001 ed.)).


The Grand Jury Further Charges that at the time such kidnapping was committed, the
following aggravating circumstance existed: the kidnapping was committed by an adult who was
at least 18 years of age at the time of the offense and who was at least two years older than the
victim, who was a minor under 18 years of age at the time of the offense. (22 D.C. Code, Section
3611 (2001 ed.)).
SIXTH COUNT:
Between on or about May 13, 2015 and on or about May 14, 2015, within the District of
Columbia, Darron Dellon Dennis Wint obtained and attempted to obtain the property of Savvas
Savopoulos or another, consisting of $40,000, with the consent of Savvas Savopoulos, such
consent having been induced by the use of actual and threatened force and violence. (Extortion,
in violation of 22 D.C. Code, Section 3251 (2001 ed.)).

SEVENTH COUNT:
Darron Dellon Dennis Wint, within the District of Columbia, while armed with a bat and
other blunt force object and a sharp object, in perpetrating and attempting to perpetrate the crime
of kidnapping, as set forth in the second count of this indictment, killed Savvas Savopoulos by,
among other things, beating him with a bat and other blunt force object and stabbing him with a
sharp object between on or about May 13, 2015 and on or about May 14, 2015, thereby causing
injuries from which Savvas Savopoulos died on or about May 14, 2015. (First Degree Murder
While Armed Felony Murder (With Aggravating Circumstances), in violation of 22 D.C. Code,
Sections 2101, 4502 (2001 ed.)).
The Grand Jury Further Charges that at the time such murder was committed, the
following aggravating circumstance existed: the murder was committed in the course of a
kidnapping and an attempted kidnapping. (22 D.C. Code Sections 2104.01 (b)(1), 2104(a), 24
D.C. Code, Section 403.01(b-2) (2001 ed.)).
The Grand Jury Further Charges that at the time such murder was committed, the
following aggravating circumstance existed: the murder was especially heinous, atrocious, and

EIGHTH COUNT:
Darron Dellon Dennis Wint, within the District of Columbia, while armed with a bat and
other blunt force object and a sharp object, in perpetrating and attempting to perpetrate the crime
of kidnapping, as set forth in the third count of this indictment, killed Amy Savopoulos by
beating her with a bat and other blunt force object and stabbing her with a sharp object between
on or about May 13, 2015 and on or about May 14, 2015, thereby causing injuries from which
Amy Savopoulos died on or about May 14, 2015. (First Degree Murder While Armed Felony
Murder (With Aggravating Circumstances) in violation of 22 D.C. Code, Sections 2101, 4502
(2001 ed.)).
The Grand Jury Further Charges that at the time such murder was committed, the
following aggravating circumstance existed: the murder was committed in the course of a

NINTH COUNT:
Darron Dellon Dennis Wint, within the District of Columbia, while armed with a bat and
other blunt force object and a sharp object, in perpetrating and attempting to perpetrate the crime
of kidnapping, as set forth in the fourth count of this indictment, killed Veralicia Figueroa by,
among other things, beating her with a bat and other blunt force object and stabbing her with a
sharp object between on or about May 13, 2015 and on or about May 14, 2015, thereby causing
injuries from which Veralicia Figueroa died on or about May 14, 2015. (First Degree Murder
While Armed Felony Murder (With Aggravating Circumstances), in violation of 22 D.C. Code,
Sections 2101, 4502 (2001 ed.)).
The Grand Jury Further Charges that at the time such murder was committed, the
following aggravating circumstance existed: the murder was committed in the course of a

Darron Dellon Dennis Wint, within the District of Columbia, while armed with a sharp
object, in perpetrating and attempting to perpetrate the crime of kidnapping, as set forth in the
fifth count of this indictment, killed Philip Savopoulos by stabbing him with a sharp object and
burning him between on or about May 13, 2015 and on or about May 14, 2015, thereby causing
injuries from which Philip Savopoulos died on or about May 14, 2015. (First Degree Murder
While Armed Felony Murder, in violation of 22 D.C. Code, Sections 2101, 4502 (2001 ed.)).
The Grand Jury Further Charges that at the time such murder was committed, the
following aggravating circumstance existed: the murder was committed in the course of a

Darron Dellon Dennis Wint, within the District of Columbia, while armed with a bat and
other blunt force object and a sharp object, in perpetrating and attempting to perpetrate the crime
of burglary, as set forth in the first count of this indictment, killed Savvas Savopoulos by, among
other things, beating him with a bat and other blunt force object and stabbing him with a sharp
object between on or about May 13, 2015 and on or about May 14, 2015, thereby causing
injuries from which Savvas Savopoulos died on or about May 14, 2015. (First Degree Murder
While Armed Felony Murder (With Aggravating Circumstances), in violation of 22 D.C. Code,
Sections 2101, 4502 (2001 ed.)).

Darron Dellon Dennis Wint, within the District of Columbia, while armed with a bat and
other blunt force object and a sharp object, in perpetrating and attempting to perpetrate the crime
of burglary, as set forth in the first count of this indictment, killed Amy Savopoulos by beating
her with a bat and other blunt force object and stabbing her with a sharp object between on or
about May 13, 2015 and on or about May 14, 2015, thereby causing injuries from which Amy
Savopoulos died on or about May 14, 2015. (First Degree Murder While Armed Felony
Murder (With Aggravating Circumstances), in violation of 22 D.C. Code, Sections 2101, 4502
(2001 ed.)).

other things, beating her with a bat and other blunt force object and stabbing her with a sharp
object between on or about May 13, 2015 and on or about May 14, 2015, thereby causing
injuries from which Veralicia Figueroa died on or about May 14, 2015. (First Degree Murder

force object and stabbing him with a sharp object between on or about May 13, 2015 and on or
about May 14, 2015, thereby causing injuries from which Savvas Savopoulos died on or about
May 14, 2015.

malice, killed Veralicia Figueroa by, among other things, beating her with a bat and other blunt
force object and stabbing her with a sharp object between on or about May 13, 2015 and on or

about May 14, 2015, thereby causing injuries from which Philip Savopoulos died on or about
May 14, 2015.

NINETEENTH COUNT:
On or about May 14, 2015, within the District of Columbia, Darron Dellon Dennis Wint
maliciously did burn and attempt to burn the dwelling of Savvas Savopoulos and Amy
Savopoulos. (Arson, in violation of 22 D.C. Code, Section 301 (2001 ed.)).
TWENTIETH COUNT:
On or about May 14, 2015, within the District of Columbia, Darron Dellon Dennis Wint
wrongfully obtained and used property of a value of $1000 or more, belonging to Savvas
Savopoulos or another, consisting of $40,000, with the intent to appropriate the property for his
own use and to deprive Savvas Savopoulos or another of a right to and benefit of the property.
(First Degree Theft, in violation of 22 D.C. Code, Sections 3211, 3212 (a)(2001 ed.)).
