Shakespeare was thought to have been


Christian but had influences in his writings of
Pagan beliefs

Performed his plays at English Court

Many of his plays have hierarchies within


them

Hamlet vs. The Lion King


Hamlet by William Shakespeare was the influence in
the creation of a similar film adaptation of Disneys
The Lion King in that the continuous themes had to
deal with Revenge, Forgiveness, and Loss through
the use of symbolism in reference to Shakespeare.

forgive instead he tries to kill Simba

Journey
Simba

travels across the dessert and finds his need to


return back home and take his place as the King
Hamlet travels to England and under the influence of the
King Of Norway, Fortinbras, returns home to take
revenge.
Ghosts
Ghost of Mufasa comes to Simba in time of need, urges
Simba to remember who he is (The Prince of Pride Rock),
and to return to his country
The Ghost is the spirit of Hamlets father and tells him
the tragic tale of his murder and keeps Hamlet in line
when exacting revenge
