Physical Examination:

During physical examination found that she is conscious and oriented to


time, place and person. But she was psychologically and emotionally disturbed.

Mental status Examination:


She looks anxious, she was aloof behaviour, she is overweight and her
psychomotor activities are decreased. Her thought are magical and not
understandable. She was having delusion of persecution and delusion of control.
Her mood was dysphoric and affect was restricted. Her attention and
concentration was poor.

Conclusion:
Females are more prone rather than male. Many individuals in the early
stage of life experience depression due to life style and stressful events. Nurses
play an important role as they give comprehensive nursing care that includes
education the patient about prevention of depression by counselling.
