Turner, T. D. (2015, April). The Role of Childhood Bullying in College Students
Substance Use,
Anxiety, and Self-Esteem.
Completed an extensive literary review, and conducted a survey of 60 peers.
Through SPSS data compilation, determined that college students who were
bullied in childhood do not necessarily have low levels of self-esteem or high
levels of anxiety, but have a tendency to result to substance use because of
self-esteem and anxiety.
Presented findings to the faculty and student body at Emory & Henry College
during poster presentation.
Turner, T. D. (2016, April). The Art of Helping: Are You a Bystander?
In the process of completing an extensive literary review, and conducting a
survey of 100 peers.
Through SPSS data compilation, will be determining if college students who
were bullied in childhood are more likely to help in a bullying situation when
alone or in a large group.
Will be presenting findings to the Department of Psychology at Emory & Henry
College during a poster presentation.
