Developmental Exploration: Essence of Place. (4 weeks)

The key concepts that will be focused on this term will be; Technologies
and Languages.
You will produce two folio items that focus on capturing the essence of a
location.
1. You first folio item will be an editing task using provided footage of
the art room. You will be required to demonstrate your ability to use
blending modes, spilt screen, masking and sound (effects and
music).
2. For the second folio item you are required to create your own 30
second clip that captures the essence of a location of your choice.
You will need to produce your own footage and audio and then
utilise learnt editing techniques to enhace the atmosphere of the
filmed place.
Major Production: Collaborative Art Film Project (3 weeks)
Individual Task
Your final task will require you to create a short video clip that responds to
a teacher designated music track. You will be provided with an audio piece
to respond to through visual techniques: filming, lighting and editing. You
will need to produce a shot list and a storyboard for pre-production.
