NOTE 1 There are 226 spare codes left for future international
standardization. Refer to Annex A/G.806 for the procedure to obtain one of
these codes for a new payload type.
NOTE 2 These values are excluded from the set of available code points.
These bit patterns are present in ODUk maintenance signals.
NOTE 3 Value "01" is only to be used for experimental activities in cases
where a mapping code is not defined in this table. Refer to Annex A/G.806 for
more information on the use of this code.
NOTE 4 These 16 code values will not be subject to further standardization.
Refer to Annex A/G.806 for more information on the use of these codes.
NOTE 5 For the payload type of the virtual concatenated signal a dedicated
payload type overhead (vcPT) is used, see 18.

When FAS can be found in five consecutive frames, the downstream board
reports an OTU-OOF alarm.
When FAS cannot be found in 3 ms, the board reports an OTU-LOF alarm.
Meanwhile, the board returns a SM-BDI alarm to the upstream board.
When the detected MFAS is not the expected value, the downstream
board reports an OTU-OOM alarm.
Question: Is a SM-BDI alarm returned when the OTU-OOF and OTU-OOM
alarms are reported.

Note 1: According to Recommendations, a board should return a PM-BDI alarm when receiving a ODU-AIS signal. However,
both SM-BDI and PM-BDI alarms are returned due to the processing chip defects. In 1600G, SM-BDI suppresses SM-BDI
(not suppressed as specified in Recommendations) when they coexist , so only the SM-BDI alarm is reported finally.

E1/E2LWF(S) and SSE2LWC1 return PM-BDI alarms, which complies with OTN standards.
E3LWF (S) and E1LBF (S) return SM-BDI alarms, which is caused by chip defects.
According to Recommendations, a LOF alarm should be returned to the client when the WDM side reports
a LOS, OUT-LOF/AIS or ODU-AIS/LCK/OCI alarm. For the above boards, the ALS on the client side is

E1LRF(S): For the software version 1.21/FPGA220 or a later version, the board returns ODU-AIS alarms if forced to transfer optical signals. If the version is
not compliant, the peer side reports an otu-lof alarm after receiving the optical signals forcibly transferred by the board.
E2LRF(S): For the software version 2.13/FPGA230 or a later version, the board returns an ODU-AIS alarm after forced to transfer optical signals. If the
version is not compliant, the peer side reports an otu-lof alarm after receiving the optical signals forcibly transferred by the board.
When receiving OTU-LOF signal, E2TRC1 reports a LOC alarm.
By default, ALS of Huawei trunk board is enabled. Therefore, a downstream board reports LOS other than ODU-AIS when receiving a LOS alarm.
