Student Learning Goals (List desired learning goals, and your plans to meet them, for the next clinical
experience. Goals should be based on identified performance issues and the desire for new knowledge and
experiences.
Using what I have learned in my psychiatric clinical experiences, psych lecture and psych CSE, I am
extremely excited to be able to continue to work on my therapeutic techniques that we were able to really use
in our clinical experiences. I was able to see just how effective these techniques really are. I thoroughly
enjoyed my psychiatric clinical experience at HCGH and hope to get more psych experience in the future. My
goal is to utilize the communication techniques in all clinical experiences in my future, as well as into my
career.

I also plan to work on nursing diagnoses, and carrying out the entire nursing process with my future patients.
It was a great experience to be able to work on the entire nursing process in my psychiatric clinical.

Accurate, thorough documentation of patients issues using correct psych mental health terminology. Along
with nursing diagnoses, Sarah demonstrated on-target understanding and insight into assigned patients
issues this week. At level of experienced RN.
Focused Interaction assignment demonstrated students exemplary knowledge of the nursing process,
patient education, and therapeutic communication techniques. Very thoughtful and insightful work. Met
Focused Interaction rubric criteria 100%.
It was a pleasure to have had Sarah in PMH clinical at Howard Co. General Hospital. She is a serious student,
and enjoys new learning experiences. She has satisfactorily met (and exceeded) all of the outcomes.
