If applicable, how does this lesson connect to the interests and cultural
backgrounds of your students?
Students will be actively engaged; they will get a chance to go outside and
learn more about the world surrounding them, and apply their knowledge to a
real life situation.

Differentiationbased on
the needs of your students
how will you take
individual and group
learning differences into
account.

I will allow more time for students if necessary. I will also provide extra help if
necessary.

Theories and research
taken in consideration
when planning this lesson

I would like to apply critical thinking, which is something we discussed in learn and
development class, as it requires students to think about what they are doing. Some
students may get caught up in the fact that they get to go outside, but I want students to
think about why they are going outside, and what the purpose of labeling the leaf is.
