LESSON PLAN SEQUENCE & PACING (How will I organize this lesson?
How much time will each part of the lesson take?)

Hook:
Quick Write: What are the 5 largest religions in the world?

Carousel:
Divide students into 5 groups
Students will rotate around the classroom, reading short articles
about each religion and filling out a graphic organizer detailing
the core tenets of the religion.
Students will visit each station for 10 minutes and then rotate to
the next, this will repeat until each student has visited every
station.

Compare/Contrast:
Students will then be assigned a religion to represent; they will
then meet in groups of 5 with students representing other
religions and discuss the differences and similarities between
their religions.
Groups will be asked to answer a question, how do
misconceptions about other religions effect our perceptions of
others? Does this effect our community?
