likeCaliforniaandHawaii,therewerewarningsabouttsunamiwavesandtotakeprecautions.
Oneveryscaryhazardthatwascausedwasthenuclearpowerthatwasoneofsix,locatedon
JapanseastsidecalledFukushimaDaiichi.Withthedamagefromthewater,itwasonlya
matteroftimebeforetheradiationwouldbeaffectingmanyresidentsoftownsnearby.Withthe
waterdamage,therewasnowaytocooldownthegenerators,sothereactorsbegantomelt
down.Thisresultedinhugehydrogengasexplosions,lettingallofthesetoxinsintotheair,
becomingverydangerousforresidentsnearby.
Notonlywashavingthetoxinsreleasedintotheairaverybadthing,butbecausethe
governmentwassonervousandscaredabouttheeventsthatwerehappening,alloftheir
actionswerebasicallyfrozen.Finallywhenthegovernmentcameto,manypeoplestartedtobe
evacuatedbecausetheradiationwasspreadingfar.Everytimethewindwouldblow,the
radiationwouldpickbackupandblowevenfurther.Inthespanof13miles200,000peoplehad
tobedisplaced.Forthefirstfewdaystherewasnowaytotransportthesepeople,andforthe
elderlyitwasextremelybrutaltobeoutinthecold.Becauseofthismorepeoplediedthan
shouldhave.Ifplanswouldhavebeenmorethoughtouttheseeffectswouldnothavebeenas
bad.
Thingsaboutthisdisastercouldhavebeenavoided.Ifmoreprecautionswouldhave
beenmade,thenlesspeoplewouldhavedied.Also,thewholenucleardisastercould
completelybeavoidedifnuclearradiationareasarenotputnearpeopleshouses.Alsoitshould
notbenearaplacewhereatsunamicouldcompletelyruin.Inthefuture,biggerwallsshouldbe

made.Also,thecitizensthatcanbeharmedshouldknowwhattodoincasesofanemergency.
