Filters are applied directly to attribute and measure columns. Filters are applied before the
queryisaggregatedandaffectthequeryandthustheresultingvaluesformeasures.
For example, you have a list of members in which the aggregate sums to 100. Over time,
moremembersmeetthesetfiltercriteria,whichincreasestheaggregatesumto200.

CreateaNamedColumnFilter
GotoOracleBusinessIntelligencehomepageNewmenuSelectfilter.TheSelectSubject
Areadialogisdisplayed.
FromtheSelectSubjectAreadialog,choosethesubjectareaforwhichyouwanttocreatea
filter.The"Filtereditor"isdisplayedfromthe"SubjectAreaspane".Doubleclickthecolumn
forwhichyouwanttocreatethefilter.NewFilterdialogisdisplayed.

CreateanInlineFilter
Eithercreateananalysisoraccessanexistinganalysisforwhichyouwanttocreateafilter.
ClicktheCriteriatabLocatethe"Filterspane"Clickcreateafilterforthecurrentsubject
areabutton.Theanalysisselectedcolumnsaredisplayedinthecascadingmenu.
Select a column name from the menu or select the More Columns option to access the
SelectColumndialog"fromwhichyoucanselectanycolumnfromthesubjectarea.
Onceyouselectacolumn,the"NewFilterdialog"isdisplayed.
