PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
This training course is intended for personnel with experience in plant inspection,
specially designed for plant maintenance or inspection engineers, who wish to have
better interpretation for working to the code. It gives a broad knowledge and prepares
participants for the API 570 examination. The training course is an intensive one week
course with a special emphasis on the use of related codes and calculations.
TARGET GROUP
This course is designed to be applicable to all personnel working in the oil, gas and
petrochemical industry, and who are involved in the design, procurement, engineering
construction, operation, maintenance and inspection of piping and related facilities.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
Candidates will be trained and equipped with the knowledge necessary to:
Successfully pass to API 570 Authorized Piping Inspector certification exam
Effectively use major codes: ASME Sections V, IX, B16.5 and B31.3.
Perform all basic piping calculations needed for the API exam (e.g. tmin, test pressure,
MAWP, corrosion rates, remaining life etc.)
Use APIs requirements during inspection, repairs and alterations of piping
Review welding procedures (WPS/PQR) and welder performance qualifications (WPQ)
