Long Term Substitute Teacher April 2016- June 2016
Began clinical experiences at West Elementary in Spring 2015. Was requested by Clinical
Educator to return as a student teacher in the spring of 2016 the following year. This was the first
time a Gardner-Webb student was requested to be a student teacher from a clinical experience.
During my clinical hours in the fall of 2015 was granted an interim position as a 4 th grade teacher
starting April 2016. This position requires the teacher to implement lesson plans, manage the
classroom, as well as collaborate with team members.
Student Teacher Spring 2016
Developed and implemented engaging lessons for Math, English Language Arts, Social
Studies and Science for 10 full weeks in accordance with state curriculum and school-wide
curriculum standards.
Designed a classroom web-page with information for parents and students
Created and implemented behavioral plan
Collaborated with all 4th grade teachers and Title 1 specialist to implement a parent event.

Assumed assistant role at the request of administration while managing complex academic
and athletic schedule
