Mitigating Income Inequality Across The U.S. States." National Tax Journal 68.4

This article basically states how taxes have affected the income of people
and how it has created significant inequalities in every state. This article states that
taxes have been on the increase ever since 1980, due to changes in the tax code.
This article was found on my AUM Librarys website, which builds its
credibility because it ensures that the information is factual and not written by just
anyone. This article will be very useful when creating my annotated bibliography
because the writers wrote it, influencing some people and informing others on the
impact that taxes have served when it comes to thinking if everyone is paying his or
her fair share of taxes. This argument allows me to insert my research on where less
wealthy people feel as though rich people are not paying the same amount as they
do in taxes because they seem to be getting richer, meanwhile, the middle class
and poor seem to be getting poorer.
My purpose for choosing this article is to support my statement that federal
taxes are increasing the inequalities of every person with income; imposing the
question as to who really has to pay taxes and is everyone paying the same
amount, regardless of the different incomes.

This is another article that states how the tax on gas continues to rise just
because of Americas infrastructure issue. It argues that gas taxes should not

increase every time the Highway Trust Fund is touched; this shows how unstable
and inconsistent the federal government is and poses the question for how long will
the federal government continue to increase the gas tax. This article has not been
updated since 2014; however, two years ago is not as bad as five to ten years.
This is a very reliable website because I accessed it through AUM Librarys
catalog. The usefulness and trustworthiness of this website is very high because it is
approved to be factual and not able to be accessed by anyone that wants to add his
or her own opinion. This argument stands on its own and poses its own perspective,
which is really the strength of the source because it adds another issue where
federal taxes are effecting the finances of every individual that purchases gas, but
the weakness is where I add my commentary from my research.
My purpose for choosing this particular source is to use it to strengthen my
point that taxes are not just rising in one thing; taxes are placed on just anything
that can be purchased. It would not be a huge deal if taxes were stable; however,
taxes continually increase due to improper regulations posed by the federal
government.

This article is about understanding the need for taxes and why it seems like
not enough money is being collected to regulate the government; this article states
that every individuals income tax that is collected by the government is owed out
before it is even collected. This article shows in great detail how the government
budget is nowhere near balanced.

I accessed this article through Google scholar. The usefulness and credibility
of this source is also uniquely stronger because it shows varieties of government
spendings and states factual amounts of how the government cannot function
without everything happening the way that it should. This article creates its own
position statement; however, it still supports my perspective. The author presents
this statement in great detail and specifically addresses each function of the taxes
after they are collected.
My purpose in choosing this article was to strengthen my position my
addressing all possible aspects of how federal taxes are not always fair. With federal
taxes steadily increasing and the government steadily having funding issues, people
begin to wonder where are their tax dollars actually going; this article highlights the
key factor that the governments transporting system collects all income tax
revenues to cover the costs of transporting the currency, leaving the federal
government none to reserve in the central bank.

This book underlines the fact that the United States has the heaviest
taxes in the world. The federal government they account for fifty-five percent of
total revenues.
This book will be very useful in backing up my position and it stands on its
own argumentative statement. This book allows me to show how federal
government has their way of collecting revenue from everything that is purchased,
yet they still get to increase whatever they choose to increase in order to get more

money in the government. I accessed this book through my AUM Library so it has
credibility and very good factual information to rely on when inserting my research.
My purpose for choosing this book was to have at least one book, along with
my other sources to back up my position statement. Some people feel that paying
taxes are okay, while others may feel ripped from all their hard earnings. With this
source, I plan to show how federal taxes increase are affecting individuals
wrongfully and more heavily than in any other country.
