A Muslim Woman Wearing a Hijab was Kicked Out of Donald J. Trumps

Campaign, is a video about a woman who gets discriminated upon because of her race
and beliefs. Due to recent events, such as the San Bernardino incident where a married
couple opened fire in a Regional Center and killed fourteen people while injuring an
additional twenty-two county employees, every Muslim has been seen as a terrorist.
Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik, we the married couple that carried out the
second deadliest terrorist attack in California and upon further investigation were
connected to Jihadism, which is an Islamist militant movement. Once this was
discovered most people assumed that every Muslim could not be trusted, they were all
labeled terrorists.

Like most Americans, Donald J. Trump took offense to Muslims and in one of his

campaigns for presidency he stated that if elected president he would have a total and
complete shut down of Muslims entering the United States until our countries
representatives figure out what the hell is going on. Once Trump made this statement
Muslims took offense, which is when Rose Hamid, a 56-year-old flight attendant
decided to take a stance and silently protest at one of Trumps campaigns. She stood up
directly behind Trump as he was giving his speech wearing a hijab, a t-shirt that read
SALAM I COME IN PEACE, and a yellow star, similar to the ones Jews would wear
during the Holocaust. Despite her silent protest, Trump supporters around her began
chanting Trumps name and pointing at her and her fellow friend. The video shows Rose

Hamid being escorted out while Trump supporters boo her, give her a thumps down,
and even get in her face whilst yelling at her. Throughout this whole incident, Mrs.
Hamid remains peaceful and polite, even though everyone around her gives her
reasons not to.

Emile Durkheim was a functionalist, she believed that deviance was a key

component of a functioning society. At the rally, Rose Hamid was challenging peoples
present views on Muslims. She was there to show Trump supporters what Muslims
really looked like, they look like you and I, not like vicious terrorists. Hamid was simply
trying to foster social change, which I believe she accomplished. Rosa parks got
escorted out of the bus like Rose Hamid got escorted out of the rally, but their actions
ignited peoples interest and it raised questions, which is what they both aspired to do. I
believe Durkheim would applaud her for trying to change the way Trump, Trump
supporters, and other people view Muslims.

Karl Marx would have seen this video and viewed it as evidence of inequality in

our system, like most conflict theorist. He would had classified Trump as the bourgeois
he is. Since his childhood Trump has been privileged and surrounded by wealth, and
because of his status as a billionaire he has not succumbed to the laws normal citizens
have to oblige to. By running for presidency Trump wants to further expand his power in
society, he would be able to regulate the laws and try to persuade representatives to
view things his way. Underprivileged citizens like Rose Hamid and the rest of us are
classified as proletariats, who rely on Trump.

August Comte would think that Rose Hamid is the perfect advocate to promote

positivism and help to implement programs of change being that Hamid is a working

class women. She would be a great agent of positivistic change because of her close
ties of affection to her Muslim community, respect for authority, and exposure to misery.
Through her Trump could possibly realize that most Muslims are good people. Every
race has a rotten few, we can not place bad stigmas on races based on their deviant
members.

The paradigm most represented in this video is conflict. People are being vile

and acting inhumane towards her simply because this women is a Muslim. The fact that
this lady is Muslim and has certain beliefs that does not make her a terrorist. We as the
human race should stop having stigmas about every race, we are all humans and our
race does not define the person that we are. If we got rid of some of these stigmas then
we would be able to resolve some conflicts. Why cant we live and let live?
