Port Numbers, Domain Name System and DNS Servers.
Types of Internet Connections: Dial-up Connection, DSL, ISDN, Leased-lines,
Cable-TV Internet, Satellite Internet, Wireless internet Connections, Connecting LAN
to the Internet.
Unit III
Web Browsers: What is a Web Browser, Main functions, Types of Web Browsers,
Main Elements of Web Browsers, Browsing the Web, Search Engines and Web
Directories, Navigating Web Pages, Domain name system, Uniform Resource
Locator.
Email Concepts: How do you get your email, Email addressing, Message Headers,
Email Netiquette, General Information about attachments, Downloading and Storing

Microsoft Outlook Express: About Outlook Express, Configuring outlook for Web
mail, Multiple Email addresses for multiple users
