BACKGROUND OF COMPANY
Each one of us has something to offer that make a difference in the lives of others. With that
Lucky Me! Noodle Factory special agents discovered Filipino as noodle lovers. From then on
they offered delicious instant noodles which is the birth of Lucky Me!
Monde Nissin, through its flagship brand Lucky Me!, launched the Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga
(Family Mealtime Matters) advocacy which aims to encourage families to gather during dinner
and share meaningful conversations over meals. Studies showed that children who share
mealtime with their families are less likely to get into illegal substances, vices, alcohol, tobacco,
and unhealthy relationships leading to pre-marital sex. Done regularly, shared meals help
nurture the bond between parents and children which is instrumental in shaping the childrens
future.

Filipino family. Filipinos love for the brand developed through the years as Lucky Me! has
always been understanding and responsive to its valued consumers through continuous
innovations in its products.
The Lucky Me! logo visually sends the signal of the brands care for its consumers. A graceful
circle runs around the Lucky Me! text to give a feeling of a warm embrace from a good friend.
The waft connotes the pleasant aroma and freshness of the meal ahead. It triggers happy
memories of light, bonding moments of sitting around, sharing life, and eating together over
fantastic, flavorful, and fuss-free meals.
HISTORY
Monde Nissin was originally incorporated as Monde Denmark Nissin Biscuit Corporation. Monde
Nissin has been providing Filipino consumers with high quality products and excellent service
for almost 35 years. It started with biscuit manufacturing in 1979, with Nissin Butter Coconut and
Nissin Wafer as its initial product offering.
To further its thrust, in 1989, Monde Nissin entered the instant noodles market with Lucky Me!

as its carrying brand. Flagship variants Lucky Me! Beef na Beef and Chicken na Chicken Mami
(noodle soup in pouch).
In 1991 Lucky Me! pioneered the soup-less noodles segment its introduction of Lucky Me!
Pancit Canton (Philippine version of Chow Mien or stir-fried noodles), now the most popular
instant noodle brand in the Philippines.
Lucky Me! continues to innovate, as such in 1995 Lucky Me! introduced the first ever cup
noodles Lucky Me! Supreme. It offers authentic adaptation of Filipino favorite dishes such as
La Paz Batchoy (pork-flavored noodle soup with pork crackling) and Bulalo (long boiled beef
bones and marrow).
In 2001, the company acquired Mar Yon (M.Y.) San Corporation, manufacturer of SkyFlakes,
Fita, and M.Y. San Grahams.Subsequent to the sale of shares, M.Y. San changed its name to
Monde M.Y. San Corporation.
Several cookies and snack products were also launched, namely Eggnog Cookies, Bread Stix,
and Bingo Cookie Sandwich.
In 2005, Voice Combo Cracker became the first cracker and wafer combo biscuit in the
Philippines.
In 2006, Dutch Mill Yoghurt Drink became available in the Philippines through partnership with
Dairy Plus Thailand.
In 2009, Lucky Me! Special was introduced, which consists of noodles with local and
international flavors such as Lomi (egg noodles in seafood flavor), Jjamppong (spicy Korean
noodles), Curly Spaghetti, Baked Mac, and Mac & Cheez.
In 2010, Monde Nissin entered the culinary solutions market with the introduction of Lucky Me!
NamNam All-3-in-1 Seasoning. Its portfolio of culinary aids expanded further with the launch of
Lucky Me! NamNam Tomato seasoning in 2013, the first seasoning in the local market with the
taste of real tomatoes.
In 2014, Kantar Worldpanel, in its Brand Footprint Report, cited Lucky Me! as the most chosen
and purchased consumer brand in the Philippines, reaching almost all Filipino.
Induction Area- the area where the actual processing of lucky me noodles happen.
STEPS
1. Mixing : Where flour and Alkaline Water is mixed to form a dough in a giant metal mixing
bowl.
2. Flattening : The dough will go straight down to the rollers where it will be flattened for the
desired thickness.
3. Slitting : The flattened dough goes to a slitting machine where it's compressed. The change of
speed of the machine from fast-slow-fast is what makes the noodles' curly appearance.
4. Steaming : The noodles are steamed at a giant steamer with a heat of 1000 degree
centigrade.
5. Cut and folding : The pre-cooked noodles will be cut and folded equally and individually.

6. Frying : the noodles are deep fried in oil. Rejected noodles(overcooked, undercooked,
overweight, underweight) are isolated in this process by the machine.
7. Cooling : The noodles go inside giant tubes where they are cooled down by giant filterized
blowers. This helps the noodles last and withstand its 6-8 months shelf life.
8. Packaging : The noodles go to different lines where different flavors are segregated. The
noodles are pouched with the sauces according to their flavors and goes to the OTOKYOTO
caser which boxes the noodles.
