|! am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Ms. Morgan Appell. Morgan has been my student teacher in my kindergarten
Icass for the last 8 weeks, October to December, 2013. Morgan went above and beyond her required time and came fo our Summer
lassessments and kindergarten camp. She attended meet the teacher night, participating in math night, Fall festival, and spent the
lGrst month of school coming to the classroom on the days she did not have class. During her time here at Great Lakes Elementary
she was able to gain a positive relationship with the students, staff members, parents, and families. The relationships were based on.
kinciness, trust, respect, and cooperation.
IMorgan has shown characteristics of an excellent educator. Teaching comes to her in a naturally intrinsic way. She developed daily
lesson plan that were detailed and ereative. Her lessons plans were lined to the common core state standards. Morgan collaborated
dally with all the kindergarten teachers. She shared many ideas and was a team player with her grade level teachers.
|Morgan’s great teaching skills were reflected in the high academic score ofthe kindergarten students. They were scoring higher in
Ithcirassossmont scores at this time ofthe year compared to last year. The children care about and love Morgan. She has a strong
lelationship with each and every one. She had the ability to motivate the students to do their best and to enjoy learning as they went
Itrough each school day.
[Morgan helped enhance the communication with the children’s parent by improving a website to make it easier to read and
Junderstand, She used various means of technology to enhance her lesson plans. She improved a behavior system to make it more
lappealing to the children to roach their highest potential.

Ms. Morgan Appell was a student teacher at Great Lakes Elementary School in Holland,
Michigan. She taught in Mrs. Sara McCormick's kindergarten classtoom. She was
responsible for teaching in all areas of the curriculum.
Ms. Appell was well prepared for her student teaching assignment. She knew how to
plan for daily lessons and understood the importance of having long term goals. She
planned her lessons based on district curricular objectives and aligned them with
expected outcomes. Ms. Appel’s talent using technology and multimedia enhanced her
lessons. She liked to use a wide variety of strategies to effectively teach all learners, Ms.
Appell valued each student’s opinion and helped them gain self-confidence as learners,
Ms. Appell worked well with young children. She was caring, patient, and an excellent
listener. Ms. Appell wanted to know her students not only as a learner but also as a
person. She had a wonderful rapport with her mentor teacher, staff, and parents. She
participated in parent teacher conferences and attended all staff and grade level meetings.
Thighly recommend Morgan Appell as a candidate for a teaching position. She is happy,
enthusiastic, and well prepared for a career in teaching. Ms. Appell will be a valuable
