PROCEDURE

Click on the start menu. Select programs.

Open a new case. Click the new icon on the toolbar.

Enter the following values in the specified fluid package view:


Property package
Components

Peng Robinson
1 n-heptane
2 Toluene
3 Hydrogen

Add a reaction and choose a conversion type of reaction.

Add a stream with following values.

Name
Temperature
Molar flow

n-heptane
65F
100 lbmole/h

The composition of feed stream is defined.

A heater was added so that the temperature of feed stream increased to 800F.

A conversion reactor was added after the heater with following values.

After a reactor was added, a cooler is then added to lower the temperature to 65oF.

10 Next, a flash separator is added to remove hydrogen at least up to 96%.
